Jenkins, K. Ruth 
K. Ruth Jenkins has worked as a graphic artist and illustrator for nearly 30 years. Ruth uses traditional medium as well as computer technology, and enjoys collaborating with others. She has created a wide variety of graphics including commissions to illustrate Foolscap Brought to Book and The Quine Who Does the Strip at Inverurie. Ruth is currently working on several self-originated projects and is very interested in creating illustrations for children's authors.
Macfarlane, Stuart
Stuart has been writing for the last 10 years and, including those released in 2008, has had about 25 books published. Most of these have been humour, but his first children's novel - "Medusa Island" - will be released in May of 2008. He writes, with his wife, under Stuart and Linda Macfarlane and also under Stuart McLean. Details and extracts of two books can be seen at The Secret Diary of Adrian Cat and Medusa Island. Stuart looks forward to meeting up with other writers to exchange ideas and experiences.
Potts, Stephen
Stephen Potts lives in Scotland's border country, where long ago his ancestors plied their trades as reivers, or cattle-thieving brigands. He's written five books for Egmont - mainly adventure stories with historical or maritime themes - the most recent being Abigail's Gift (2006). Barrington Stoke published Into the Storm in 2008 - another sea story set on Scotland's wild west coast. He's also adapted Philip Pullman's tragic teenage romance, The Butterfly Tattoo, as a feature film.
Robson, Keith 
Keith’s diverse career began with D.C.Thomson working on many comic titles, notably writing and drawing ‘Jonah’ in ‘Dandy’ and ‘General Jumbo’ for ‘Beano’. He contributed to pre-school television shows including ‘Story Store’, ‘Singing Kettle’, ‘Squeak!’ and several Gaelic series. Books include ‘The Trust’ and ‘Time Tram Dundee’. Current project is a comic, ‘Monkey Crew’ inspired by his mentoring work with young people and many school visits. In June 2008 he will graduate as a teacher.
Wein, Elizabeth 
Elizabeth Wein, a Perth resident, has written a cycle of young adult novels set in Arthurian Britain and sixth century Ethiopia. Her recent sequence, The Mark of Solomon, is published in two parts as The Lion Hunter (2007) and The Empty Kingdom (2008) is with Viking in New York. Apart from having two young children, the most exciting thing about Elizabeth is that she and her husband fly small planes.
